Huard continues NFRC Board Service

Daniel Huard, NFRC’s former Vice Chair and Governance Chair for 2019 has utilized a succession planning Governance protocol which he helped establish to step asside from the 2020 National Fenestration Rating Council’s Executive Committee. Huard who has served as a NFRC Board of Directors member since being elected in 2014 is nearing the end of his term limited service. Huard helped establish a maximum of 6 years of service as a best practice governance protocol where Board of Directors members can serve a maximum of two three year terms. Huard added “The effective succession planning that I helped to create within NFRC is paying dividends in 2020 where we see new and vibrant Executive Committee with an organization that is growing an accomplishing so very much. I am as well very happy that I was integral to the Strategic Plan re-authoring and implementation that started back in 2019 when I served as Vice Chair for the organization.

Huard, LEED FellowUSDOE200pxHuard has long been an advocate for increasing the efficiency and construction quality of building envelopes and in this regard was named to the US Department of Energy’s Building Envelope Team in 2018 helping to ensure high quality standardized Building Envelope / Enclosure Commissioning protocols are followed here in America. Huard is as well an ASHRAE Commissioning Process Management Professional and an expert at Building Commissioning and Energy Audits as well. NFRC’s CEO, Deb Callahan previously provided this comment regarding Daniel’s contributions “We are proud of Daniel’s accomplishment and respect his commitment to green building. His dedication and expertise are continually helping us improve our relevance among all our stakeholders.”

The successive election of Huard to NFRC’s Board of Directors – Vice Chair, Executive Committee and Governance Committee Chair align with Huard’s long term governance expertise in both for profit and non-profit organizations. Huard’s vast Governance and Board Service includes local, state, national and international roles in a variety of organizations where his strong planning, governance and leadership shills have been an asset to numerous domestic and international organizations.
